I am passing on this Petition from the Beaconsfield Society that seeks to restore visibility of the comments members of the public make regarding planning applications.
Until a year or so ago, Bucks Council, like the majority of LAs up and down the country, allowed all comments to appear on the planning portal but due to one data breach they decided to stop this visibility. Although you can still comment on an application, you have no idea that it has been received as has happened when I comment on behalf of the HVRA on a contentious planning application.
As time is of the essence, would you please, if you can, pass my message as well as the petition below on to as many residents in your road or patch as possible in case they may wish to sign it.

They took this retrograde step without consultation or a vote.
