Social Prescribing

At our last HVRA meeting Anne Smart, who is the lead for Hughenden Lunches & Socials, spoke about Social Prescribers as she wished to pursue this non-medical provision. They provide a free and confidential service that can support people to find better ways to manage their health and wellbeing, e.g., with finances, living independently, mental wellbeing and to be more socially connected.

You will be pleased to know that this service will be available for patients of the local surgeries as stated on their flyer as follows:

Starting from 3rd August, COME TO THE TALKING CAFÉ –  HUGHENDEN VILLAGE COFFEE SHOP, HP14 4NX,

The first Monday of every month from 1- 3 pm for patients of Surgeries at Hughenden Valley, John Hampden,

Rectory Meadow, Prospect House and Amersham Health Centre.

I have been in touch with Louise Jones, Shop Manager, and she would appreciate the flyer and this Notice to be passed on, if you can, to as many residents in your road or patch as possible.

With many thanks

Kind regards
