HVRA Subscriptions 2026-7

Residents are reminded that the annual sub has now been raised to £8 per household and is due to be collected from 1st July. You can pay your road rep (the back pages of Hughenden News contain a list of road reps), or via bank transfer into the HVRA’s Lloyds Account as follows:-

Residents should identify their house number/house name, road and surname in the 18-character reference section when paying on-line.

Just in case you are wondering what HVRA does thru the year, apart from the magazine Hughenden News that is issued 3 times a year, there are numerous things that the Executive Committee and Officers very busy throughout the year, such as:

  • Represent residents on planning issues affecting the community
  • Helping residents with planning issues that affect them
  • Liaising with the Parish Council and County Councillors on local matters
  • Carrying out Speedwatch sessions in the locality and liaising with Thames Valley Police
  • Applying to lower the speed limit from 50 – 40mph on Cryers Hill
  • Reporting of Bucks Council and Hughenden Parish Council grass and hedge cutting where failing
  • Monitoring and raising cases of highways issues
  • Beautifying the village with flowers in the large steel planters
  • Working for the community on watercourse, drainage and sewage issues
  • Partaking in Chiltern Society and chalk stream projects
  • Organising events for residents such as the annual Potter Cup Quiz and the Summer Family Picnic
  • Plus events for our senior residents such as the Seniors Autumn Afternoon Tea and providing Christmas Gift Bags on alternate years.
  • Also, HVRA Road Reps can act as a conduit by passing on the concerns of their residents to the Executive Committee for help and advice.
