Help Groups & Actions
- The Hughenden Valley Bag Project – Do something positive & creative & decorate the bags used by the Village Shop.
- Road groups – there are a growing number of very local on-line support groups, by road or sections of road. If you would like you road listed please write to email@example.com
- Burnham Road – WhatsApp
- Valley Road – WhatsApp
- Cryers Hill Road/Church Farm have set up a pool of people willing to collect prescriptions, shop etc. Coordinated by Daphne Hicks, who is putting people in touch with each other if they need such help.
- This is a form which you can share with neighbours to let them know that you are willing to help, just print it out, enter what you can help with & put it thru their letter box – ViralKindness
- Virtual drinks
If you know someone who is self-isolating, & they have a PC or speaker phone or similar, why not be pro-active rather than wait for them to ask for a chat? Arrange to have morning coffee, afternoon tea, or pre-dinner drinks with them over the phone or internet. To splash out buy a couple of small cakes, & take one round for them. Then remotely compare notes!
Residents should have their next door neighbour’s phone numbers or email addresses for quick contact if help is needed. Also see the note above on ViralKindness.
HVRA Road Reps can send messages out too.
Ideas & actions can be discussed on the ‘HV What’s going on‘ Facebook page .
